Hekla Bjørn turned a volcano into a love song.
Recorded in a hot-spring studio south of Selfoss, Glacial Hymn pairs sub-Arctic minimalism with the kind of soaring chorus you only get from someone who grew up watching the auroras dance over Þingvellir. Hekla wrote the song in four nights of complete darkness during the winter solstice.
